January 15, 29, February 12, 26, 2012

9:00 pm - 11:00 pm, NSC Sports Hall

Thanks to all those who participated and contested this series last year. Due to participation numbers and interest, we are happy to announce its on again for 2012!

This isn't your European Grass Track racing series, but its pretty darn close. For those of you looking to get out of the cold and off the ice and snow and stationary trainers, look no further. The NSC is offering a four (4) race series starting January 15, 2012 and concluding on February 26, 2012 (with the World Indoor Grass Criterium Championship).

Race Format

The Indoor Grass/Criterium racing offers particpants three races a night plus the option of participating in the final 'main' event of the evening. Fields available to race are "A" and "B" (limit 25 riders for each field).

Fee

  • »  $20.00/nightly (NO USAC cycling license necessary) BRING YOUR OWN NUMBER

Registration

  • »  7:45-8:45 pm
  • »  Registration is located in All-Sports Café, directly off entrance to NSC Sports Hall (look for signs)

Important Notes

  • »  Helmets ARE required
  • »  The race director reserves the right to adjust time and distances, alter or change course, cancel and/or combine categories and prize lists.
  • »  This is a special event with unique challenges. Please be patient and prepared for possible schedule/format alterations. Participation numbers may cause format to be altered. Regardless, we have the best interest of the participants in mind and will make every effort to provide you the best race experience we can.
  • »  All bikes are welcomed and work on the turf! Cyclocross tires or slightly wider road tire seem to offer the best ride and handling.
  • »  Eye protection is highly recommended to protect against the the small rubber granuals that make up the turf. Arm warmers and knee/leg warmers are also recommended.  The sports hall is heated, but with sub-zero temperatures outside, the air inside the hall carries a noticable chill.
  • »  The NSC strictly prohibits any thing other than WATER in the sports hall on the turf. All food is is strictly prohibited as well. Anyone who chooses to ignore this rule will be disqualified from the racing and no refund will be issued.
