Ride with us this week:
Our 2010 season is coming to an end and there will only be a couple more Wednesday evening rides left (the last official ride of this year will be September 8th). The forecast for this coming Wednesday looks perfect -- Sunny with a high of 78 & 0% chance of rain. Just a reminder that we should be ready to ride by 6:00(since we are getting short on daylight) and we have been meeting in the southwest corner of the parking lot of Wooddale Church (in Eden Prairie) since there is more shade and we are away from the loud air conditioners. Hope to see you then.
Mid-week Bible Study:
The Twin Cities Spoke is about more than riding our bikes. It is about fellowship and coming closer to God. That is why we want to encourage you to keep coming to Wooddale Church on Wednesday nights, starting September 15th, to take part in a Bible Study Series through the fall and winter. More details can be found here. Helmets are optional.
Racing still going on:
There are at least two road races still on the race team's schedule. Feel free to contact Steve Gerber or check our website for ways to be involved in these.
Fabulous Rec Rides and Tours on tap:
We want to encourage all members to consider doing a special event representing the Twin Cities Spoke. Not only is it a great opportunity to to ride your bike, but it is also a great opportunity to witness and share the love of Christ with hundreds -- if not thousands -- of other cyclist. Below you will find a sampling of what is still available this year. If you are interested in doing any of these rides, please check out the link provided and start a forum thread to discuss it on line with others who might also be interested in checking it out.
End of year & birthday bash:
Just after the Minnesota State Road Race Championships, Tim Turnquist will be hosting a party to celebrate another great season of riding and his birthday. As usual, he has a few surprises up his sleeve to make this an event you don't want to miss. Please check out the details here , then RSVP on the forum or by emailing him here.
As with most years, the changing of seasons means that there are changes afoot in the Twin Cities Spoke. If you were at the ride last Wednesday you got a little glimpse of what is coming, but we have so much more we want to do. Please consider and pray about becoming more involved. If you want more details on how to become involved you can attend the Wednesday night ride this week, wait for more specific announcements, or contact Jeannie Scholz
