Tuesday Night Time Trials 2011!
Hosted by
2011 has so far challenged us with cycling, it's time to ride in some nice weather! OK, so we can't control the weather, but we can do our part to offer you some great cycling. 2011 TNT is ready to start, so here are a few notes as we get ready to blow the start horn on 2011 TNT!
Registration:
Our online registration has been working smoothly, so take advantage of saving some money! Entry fees remain unchanged from 2010, and there's no online registration fee! Online registration closes at midnight the night before a given race. $20 day of, $15 pre-reg, $50 1/2 series pass, $90 full-series pass.
Rules, rules, rules:
We are pleased to give away a lot of stuff this year, but with increased prizes comes some increased complexity. So please read the 2011 TNT Race Rules. (note there is a change in prize distribution to spread awards as widely as possible)
Prizes!:
The only way we are able to give away so much stuff is because of the support of many people of our local cycling community. Please visit them, and check out the 2011 TNT Prize List.
We are excited to have many returning and new sponsors. Among the highlights are a full-carbon TT frame from Leopard Cycles, ROL Racing wheelsets, a Lemond Fitness Revolution trainer, Spinervals endurance training DVD's by coach Troy Jacobson, and a new movie where (mountain) biking takes a leading role!
Race Day Logistics:
Remember the course start has moved from last year! Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community has graciously allowed us to use their property for parking and registration. We expect this to improve rider safety by avoiding a busy Hwy 19/Co Rd 24 area and give you a better chance to watch all the action. Because we are visitors we ask you to be considerate to our hosts:
- Registration is 6:00 - 6:45 pm (everyone has other jobs to get to, so registration will close promptly)
- Parking is on the SE corner of the lot (by the baseball fields)
- The restrooms inside the church front doors are available for use.
- Please be discreet when suiting up for your ride.
- A registration will be located near the parking area.
- A horn will blow when we are ready to start the first rider
- Be ready for your time slot! The clock is running even if you are late.
- Very important: Have fun!
Weather Update for May 10:
Predicting weather this spring more than a few hours out has been questionable at best. So far today (Friday) I have seen warm, cool, sunny, rain, and (or) storms. Your guess is as good (or better) as mine to what weather shows up, but the race runs, rain or shine. TNT has never had to cancel, but we reserve the right to call it if conditions are severe enough to warrant safety concerns.
TNT Race Sponsors: Thanks so much to the people and companies that help make this event happen (and get you good prizes)
