2011 TNT Results Update:
There is no easy say this, but I have uncovered a discrepancy in the published race scoring. I will buck up and apologize at this point, but the short story is results are now corrected and all race data has been re-published.
Longer story: While looking into a scoring question I realized two different scoring systems had been published for different races. Ouch! A promoters worst nightmare that I had messed up the entire series data and only noticed it after the face! As a corrective action I have now re-calculated the data with the original series scoring and re-published all race data. To summarize, here's the scoring:
- all scores are calculated from the fastest time of the night
- results are then sorted by Open/Stock and Age Group, for both M/F
- your top 5 of 8 scores are used to calculate your series score
- you get 5 bonus points for each race you compete for races 6-8 (a total of 15 pts available)
- you must compete in at least 5 races to qualify for a series prize
I truly apologize for the error, but I made the call to re-post all data for consistency. Most standings are unchanged, but there were a few shuffles in placing. This is an error I hope to not ever happen again, and you can be assured there will be off-season discussion on making sure it doesn't happen again next year!
Thanks for your understanding!
